Dialogue suffers.

Does true dialogue suffer when we opt to talk, connect, friend, or tweet via social media?

  1. Interesting question, almost rhetorical! It depends I think. Like networking receptions at meetings or many cocktail parties or brief encounters anywhere, if the person with whom the interaction occurs is interesting & interested, it encourages a desire to have more conversation. Perhaps too it’s like a postcard saying you miss someone or are missed & will contact each other. It allows the important touch to connect or reconnect. And on days when one is busy, a quick note to let someone know you are thinking about them is like a kind touch & all that may be needed & accepted/acceptable.
